Northern Money: Kano Pillars Sign Beckham?

Mercurial footbal talent and super-stud, David Beckham announced on Monday that he will be leaving L.A. Galaxy, the US club that has paid his wages for the last 6 years. He has stated that he's looking for one last challenge before he calls it quits with his footballing career. With all the pitfalls and craziness that characterizes the Nigerian Football League, wouldn't it be an amazing feat if a Nigerian clubside like. . . say, Kano Pillars, were to secure the talents of the superstar?

We all know how survival in the Nigerian economy requires grit and perseverance, and by extension, the Nigerian Football Premier League offers what is considered the toughest football terrain anywhere in the footballing world. So if Beckham is looking for one last challenge, maybe he should consider signing on with the Nigerian League champions, Kano Pillars. I chose Kano Pillars 'cos they're the best Nigeria has to offer (according to the Nigerian Premier League), and if Beckhams is looking for a 'last' challenge, well, our league might just make his wish come true.

Kano Pillars - The 2007/2008 and 2011/2012 Nigerian Football Premier League Champions; consistent winners of the first and second round of the competition, leaders in 14 different weeks of the competition; with minimum number of defeats (9); highest number of away points (11); and highest number of goals (46). . .

Beckham can't do any worse, or can he?
