In a horror scene rivaling that of the classic SAW movies, an Italian teacher, Carlo Rando - a trained surgeon - today killed two rabbits with a hammer during an anatomy class. . . and for his efforts bagged eight months jail time?!
Rando had ordered a delivery of four dead rabbits to be dissected for his class. Two were DOA, but the other two surviving ones escaped into the classroom before being captured by the teacher.
He first tried to strangle them, then punched them, and finally finished them off with a hammer in front of terrified teens, the animal protection association, LAV said.
"Horrific scenes worthy of an abattoir were played out in front of minors." the group said, hailing "the courage of other teachers and pupils who wanted to denounce the terrible actions of their teacher."
Now I do find it a bit unnerving that he had to get as much as eight months in jail for killing an animal, but I guess I can understand how animal rights groups can come down hard on you over there.
What I don't get is why a grown man would attempt to outdo Jigsaw in front of a class filled with minors.
Kinda makes me want to thrash my SAW movie collections, doesn't it?
