Elmo Replies: 'Nothing's Gonna Bring Us Down'

Elmo, the much beloved, but embattled Sesame Street character joined the rest of his SS family to sing along at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade today in New York City, in a song that could well be viewed as a veiled response to the child abuse scandals.

The song, "What I am", had lyrics that could take on new meaning in the wake of the sex allegations against Clash. Some of the lyrics include, "I'm gonna keep my head up high / Keep on reaching high / Never gonna quit / Just keep getting stronger."

All those lyrics seemed suggestive enough, but just when you were gonna shake your head and say, "Nah! It doesn't mean anything", Elmo comes in with his solo, which goes, "Nothing's gonna bring us down"

Is this Elmo's subtle reply to his critics, or are we being nasty, picking holes at a good ol, fun, family, sing-along song.
