Tragedy struck yet again in Nigeria's Entertainment industry, when the cold hands of death struck down Justus Esiri, veteran actor, entertainer, and father to Nigerian music artiste, Dr. Sid.
Esiri passed on yesterday in circumstances which are as yet unclear. His son, Pop singer Dr. Sid, put up a photo of his father on his twitter avatar and updated his bio to 'RIP Dad'.
Mr. Esiri's rise to limelight came when he starred in the beloved role of 'Headmaster' in the popular TV series, 'Village Headmaster', which aired on the Nigerian Television Authority in the 70's and 80's
Justus Esiri’s death comes two months after Enebeli Elebuwa died in an indian hospital and eighteen months after legendary actor Sam Loko Efe also took his bow.
Late Mr Esiri was married to his wife Omiete and together they had six children, one of them being Dentist-turned pop artiste Dr SID.
We wonder if artistes in the Entertainment industry have committed some sin which has seen death chase them around. We're still reeling in the shock of Goldie's death, yet to even come to terms with it, and now this. . .
