A member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Esan Central Local Government Area of the state, Mr. Victor Edoror, has been abducted by gunmen.
The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr Uyi Igbe, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, yesterday, in Benin City, said Edoror was kidnapped in Irrua, the administrative headquarters of Esan council on Sunday in company of his driver.
Following the abduction, the House suspended sitting, and stormed the State Government House to brief the Governor, Adams Oshiomhole on the situation.
Igbe explained that the lawmakers were informed of the suspected kidnap by the wife of the victim, saying that no contact had been made between the abductors and the family.
Stuff is really getting out of hand. . .
