Madam Okunwa Benson, the mother of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Speaker who was kidnapped by gunmen a week ago, has regained her freedom.
The woman was abducted at her country home in Korokorosei in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State by gunmen in two speed boats.
Her freedom was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Speaker who affirmed that Madam Benson was handed over to members of her family by officials of Sagbama Local Government Council.
The kidnappers had earlier demanded for N40 million for her release, but now, it's not clear if the money - or a lesser portion of it - was actually paid.
What's important is that the woman is free and unharmed. . .
. . . And that the kidnappers will eventually stab each other in the back as they fight over whatever money might have been paid (If at all). . .
. . . And then get caught!!!
