Nkiru Sylvanus Is A Free Woman Again!
It's now official that kidnapped Hollywood actress and Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on Lagos Affairs. . . oops, sorry!. . . I meant Public Affairs, Nkiru Sylvanus, has regained her freedom.
She and former Mr. Nigeria, Kenneth Okolie, who were kidnapped close to the famous Concord Hotel, Owerri, were both released. It would seem that the kidnappers who had demanded the sum of N100 Million as ransom for Nkiru's release, may have actually been paid.
The Vanguard Newspapers reports that barely hours after an open letter was written to the IG of Police on the matter by concerned friends of the kidnap victims, their release was eventually secured.
If you recall, Governor of Imo State, under whose cabinet the fair skinned actress serves as Special Assistant, had spoken tough and said that his government would not negotiate with terrorists and kidnappers. . . implying that no ransom would be paid for Nkiru's release.
But she's free now, 'aint she?
Who paid for her release, if at all they did. . . and how much was paid?
With Governor Rochas Okorocha's tough-talking stance on non-negotiation with kidnappers thrown out there, if he did indeed dole out the cash for her freedom, He'll never say. . . ever!
Welcome back to the real world Nkiru. . .
Seems you'll be having a Very Merry Christmas afterall. . .
