When 33 year old Christopher Franklin Weaver was released from the Lane County Jail, the last thing jail wardens' expected was to see his face again, 55 minutes later!
ABC News reports that Weaver had been booked into the jail on Wednesday for parole violation stemming from a sex abuse charge and failing to appear on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. When the county experienced budget restraints, they were forced to release 32 inmates and Weaver gained his freedom. . . albeit temporarily.
Weaver walked out the door of the prison at about 11am on Thursday, headed to a bank a mile away and immediately robbed it, police say.
He had been free for only 55 minutes, and is now back in jail cooling his heels.
