It's Official: Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou have gone their separate ways after 5 years of wedded (bliss?)
The Life In The Fab Lane star, 37, and the Amistad actor, 48, have a son, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, but that didn't stop them from splitting. . . it never does. "Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons have officially separated after 5 and a half years," the actor's spokesperson told People.
In a message to fans on her Twitter page, the former model said the pair had been apart for 'some time.' She wrote: "There have been quite a few hurtful rumors circulating. The truth is Djimon and I have been separated for some time. We have remained happy, loving, co-parenting friends and family."
There had been rumours of a break up June of this year following a big fight over money, after which Hounsou walked out on her.
It was never really going to work out was it? Kimora's fiesty nature and the couple's lifestyle were ingredients for a flash flood. Plus, some people posit that Hip Hop Mogul, Russel Simmons, Kimora's ex-husband funded their lavish lifestyle.
Whether that's true or not, you just know that whenever the Ex factor throws his/her big nose into a relationship, that union doesn't stand a chance.
