The 'Ice Lady', convicted murderer of her husband and lover in Vienna Austria, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in a secure mental institution, yesterday.
Dubbed 'Ice Lady' for the cold hearted and calculated manner in which she took the lives of her victims, Mexican-Spanish immigrant, Estibaliz Carranza, 34, confessed to shooting her German ex-husband, Holger Holz, and her new lover, ice cream machine salesman, Manfred Hinterberger at point blank range in the backs of their heads. Then she cut up their bodies with a chainsaw, froze them up in a deep freezer, and later interred them in concrete under the cellar of her store!
Holz was shot as he sat at his computer after she claimed he refused to move out after their divorce, while lover, Hinterberger suffered the same fate two years later, receiving four shots to the back of the head as he lay in bed snoring after she had tried to start a discussion about his infidelity.
She wept as she told the judge, "All I can say is that I'm sorry I took the lives of Holger and Manfred."
Get this: Her celebrity lawyer, Rudolf Mayer, is the same man who defended Austria's most notorious criminal, Josef Fritzl - remember him? He's the guy who imprisoned his daughter for over 24 years, using her as a sex slave. . . we all know how that ended.
Rudolf Mayer says he would appeal to have the verdict overturned. . . fat chance of that happening.
The cat was let out of the bag last year when maintenance crew began working in the building where she had buried her victims, and discovered the gruesome remains.
