Get Naked With Your Favourite Celebrities!!!

I tried to let this pass, but trust me; I just had to say something. Cruise Nigeria reports a campaign by media personality  SheiFunmi Yusuf, to help raise awareness about the risks of HIV/Aids among teenagers and young adults. It seeks to highlight the social and psychological stigma associated with the HIV/Aids scourge. It's scheduled to take place on Thursday 29th November, 2012 at the BheerHgz Cafe, Lagos. But that's not the news. . .

Here's what's news: The campaign is called Get Naked, and this Thursday's event is tagged, 'GO BOLD and BARE. . . . . Protect Yourself'. According to a representative for the Get Naked campaign, the event urges and seeks celebrities, top personalities and dignitaries that the Nigerian youth can identify with, to GET NAKED in a photo campaign to ENCOURAGE SAFE SEX, disclosure and draw international attention to this disease through documentaries, TV shows and the print media.

Now, I don't know if this advert is supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek statement, or maybe I'm just not reading it right, but I wonder how getting naked with other people is supposed to encourage safe sex. There seems to be an irony here which I hope I'm not the only one seeing. For me; GETTING NAKED does NOT equal SAFE SEX - in anyway. I hope they're not serious with this, but if they are, and they want me to seek celebrities I can identify with and go naked with in a photo session, then I choose Muna! After feasting my lewd eyes on her Birthday pictures, all I want to do is snuggle as close as I can to those two round sisters of hers.Gosh! If this campaign is serious, count me in, and get me Muna's phone number!

BheerHgz Cafe, here I come!!!
