NSCDC. . . Again?
The Federal Capital Territory Command of the Corps (FCT Abuja), in collaboration with the Jiwa Chiefdom, arrested two suspects, Babano Bala and Babangida Ibrahim, of Jiwa village.
The two persons were caught in the early hours of Monday morning vandalizing the feeder transformer located within Jiwa town. Items recovered from them included 18 Jerrycans of 30 liters filled with mercury oil; 10 empty jerrycans; and a Volvo car, A6ER cooler truck with registration number Kogi XC 182 IK. The suspects were taken to the Upper Area Court Jiwa for prosecution.
According to the FCT Commandant of the Corps, Aminu Abdullahi Kofar Soro, his men will ensure that in line with the directive of the Commandant General, every activity of vandals within FCT are nipped in the bud.
He warned all criminal-minded persons and vandals, in their own interest, to stop or be prepared to face the full wrath of the law when caught.
Right. . . Good. . . OK. Well said. Now, I'm REALLY thinking here (When I start thinking, it can't be good), How come all of a sudden, the NSCDC is all over the place, in the media light and within the glare of the public good. . .
. . . Right after the "My Oga at the top" saga?
I know they've had some issues which are not of their own doing (like the clash with the police last week in Lagos, which left two of their officials dead and several others wounded, but. . .
It seems they've been rather busy since the Lagos State Area Commander decided to grant that now-famous interview with Channels Television.
I smell I-M-A-G-E L-A-U-N-D-E-R-I-N-G. . . with a capital Nose!
Just saying, is all. . .
