Pistorius' Brother Facing Murder Charges Too
When it rains, it definitely pours: The Pistorius family know this, as Oscar Pistorius' older brother, Carl Pistorius, is facing culpable homicide charges for hitting a female biker during a fatal car crash in 2008.
The older Pistorius was ironically due in court last Thursday, February 21, 2013, the same day that his brother appeared in front of a judge for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
If convicted, Carl could face 15 years jail time.
Kenny Oldwage, lawyer for both brothers, acknowledged the legal issues following the older Pistorius, saying that he was involved in an accident “in which a woman motorcyclist sadly lost her life.” He also added that “there is no doubt that Carl is innocent and the charge will be challenged in court.”
A blood test confirmed that Carl was not drunk at the time of the accident. “It was a tragic road accident after the deceased collided with Carl's car,” his lawyer explained, pointing out that the charges were initially dropped before being reinstated.
The victim's family later came out in opposition to him not facing charges, believing that the situation was not an accident.
South African ladies must be wary of the name, 'Pistorius' by now. Next time a guy approaches a lady, stretches out his hand and says. . .
"Hi, my name's '*****' Pistorius, and. . . "
She's gonna take off so fast, Pistorius will be left shaking the air where she used to be. . .
. . . Just saying. . .
