It's been revealed that the person who was responsible for turning Whitney Houston into a drug addict was not our favourite suspect, Bobby Brown, but her brother, Michael Houston.
In an interview on Oprah's Next Chapter, Michael spilled the beans as he sat down with his mother Cissy and admitted to the world that he was the first person who did drugs with Whitney. . .
. . The little S**t!
He expressed guilt for his sister's death, but says he didn't realize at the time how deadly drugs could be, 'cos everyone did them: It seemed quite natural at that time in the 80's. . . "You gotta understand at the time. . . the 80's. . . It was acceptable."
"It's painful. . . I feel responsible for what I let go so far."
The mother on her part claimed she could not have known everything her children did.
We owe Bobby Brown an apology. . . don't you think so? The guy's been heckled, criticized and vilified for his purported role in the diva's death.
People pictured him with an arm round a naked Whitney in the bathroom, cramming joint upon joint upon joint into her willing mouth and crooning, "C'mon baby. . . Make daddy proud."
But replace Bobby with Michael and make the scene the back of their family house, and you've just about got it right.
Whitney died in Beverly Hills last February after a drug binge that included ‘yayo’, Xanax and ‘kush’.
This is a warning to parents: Keep a close eye on your kids, and ensure that you encourage them to relate with you.
We can't be perfect, but we can at least try.
