Special Assistant Nkiru Kidnapped!

                                       

It would appear that our darling pearl of Nollywood and Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Public Affairs (not Lagos Affairs), Nkiru Slyvanus, was yesterday kidnapped in Owerri, the Imo State Capital.

The actress who had been embroiled in a media war with the press over her appointment as Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on Gidi Affairs, had only recently been re-deployed from the state Liaiason Office in Lagos. It was reported that she was abducted close to the famous Concord Hotel, Owerri, in the company of some of her friends.

We're also getting feelers that contact has been made by the kidnappers with the family and that a ransom of N100 Million has been demanded.

Everyone's keeping mum on this development. Can't blame 'em. Getting kidnapped is nothing to be ashamed of, but getting kidnapped close (or in) a hotel. . . in the company of friends (what were they doing?) might prove too difficult to explain.

Or maybe they're just being security conscious.

If you ask me, the security part should've come up BEFORE the kidnapping took place. Now with sketchy details trickling in, the public is left to speculate. . .

Which is OK by me.

N100 Million?!. . . At least it's good to know she's worth that much.

We await her release following the exchange of millions of naira of tax payers' money.
