'Killing Them Softly' Loses At The Box Office

Brad Pitt's image as a 'good guy' may have caught up with him on his latest movie release, 'Killing Them Softly', which opened to a disappointing $7 million at the box office.

You'd have thought a movie starring the likes of Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini, and topped with a Brad Pitt would do well, but first-night audiences gave 'Killing Them Softly' an "F" Cinema Score, which unfortunately was to set the mode for the box office flop.

Analysts had thought that the film would do a $12 million or better based on the appeal of Brad Pitt, but it ended up with the same weekend total as Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph' which is in its fifth week.

The trailer looks good, but sometimes movie goers can be fickle. Maybe they're just not ready for a 'bad' Brad Pitt.
