Where Did All The Great Movies Go. . . ?

I thought I'd start this thread for true film buffs who can’t stand the trash that’s been regurgitated onto our big screens over the past years and ongoing: Transformers 5, Avengers 2, Spiderman 7, Batman Returns again and again, Iron Man 4, Catwoman 2, Superman of Steel, Wonder Woman 1, err, well, that last one didn’t quite make it. . . thank God! I can go on for as long as these serialized titles keep coming down the water pipe. Whatever happened to trailblazers of the days of old. . . Tim Robins’ Shawshank Redemption, Oliver Stone’s Scarface, Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas and so on?

Here’s a dose of what movies used to be like. . . I take you back to 1995, to a hood-based thriller by Spike Lee. . . when the guy was still tha man! Check out the trailer for Clockers, and if you are lucky enough to get your hands on the original movie, you surely won’t be disappointed, that much I bet! Clockers also had one of the coolest movie soundtracks; back then films came out with a hot soundtrack album to it; Marc Dorsey, Seal, Desree, Chaka khan were all up on it. . . miss those days. . . enjoy peps!

P.S. Check out Marc Dorsey’s soundtrack People Searching for a life… Now that is what I call music…they just don’t make them like they used to anymore..
