GT Bank Opens Operations On Facebook

                            

If you're a facebook user, then it might interest you to know that Nigerian commercial bank, Guaranty Trust Bank (GT Bank) Plc, has launched its 'Social Banking' service on facebook!

This service allows you to get customer service support on the social media network.

According to GTB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Segun Agbaje, the new service which is the first of its kind in the Nigerian banking industry, will enable the lender engage customers where they
work, live or play.

He explained that the ‘Social Banking’ service would enable persons on social networks like facebook commence a banking relationship and perform transactions 24/7, safely and conveniently, without having to
leave the platform.

How convenient.

"This novel service presently allows people open GTBank accounts and get customer service support on facebook and in a couple of weeks we will introduce new service options that include money transfers, airtime purchases and bills payments," he said.

Even though the bank is not new to internet-based banking service, this 'Social Banking Service on facebook is the first sojourn of its kind on the popular social media site.
