An explosion under the Festac link bridge, connecting Festac Town to Amuwo Odofin Housing Estatein Lagos State, has claimed one life.
The deceased police say, was the leader of a sand dredgers association.
The Area Commander of Area E Festac Command of the Lagos State Police Command, Dan Okoro, confirmed the death in a telephone conversation with PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr. Okoro said the dead was the leader of the sand dredgers under the bridge, and that one person was injured in the blast.
The police bomb squad are already at the scene of the explosion, although it is not clear what the cause of the explosion is, Mr. Okoro explained.
